Empowering Rural Communities Through Fintech: A 3-Day Program [On-site]

BACKGROUND
Over the next three years, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between rural communities and the burgeoning fintech landscape. With financial inclusion as the cornerstone, the project seeks to empower individuals in underserved regions by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to embrace digital financial solutions. By focusing on e-wallets, the program intends to demystify the technology and make it accessible to all, fostering economic growth and self-reliance.
 
Program Objectives
The initiative’s primary goal is to educate rural populations on the fundamentals of fintech, with a special emphasis on e-wallets as a gateway to digital finance. The program will guide participants through setting up e-wallets, understanding their practical uses, and integrating them into daily transactions. Additionally, the program will address critical aspects of financial literacy, such as buying and selling products, making and receiving payments, and converting e-wallet balances into cash when necessary.
 
The cost caters for an on-site conduct of the program up to 30 participants in South East Asia ONLY.  For larger groups, extended period of training or countries beyond South East Asia, please let us know the requirements in the Request Link on the Home Page and we will get back to you shortly. It is possible for us to conduct the program at the location of your choice subject to a further discussion on viability and costs.

This 3-day program aims to empower rural communities by introducing them to the fundamentals of fintech, with a focus on the practical use of e-wallets. Designed for individuals with little to no prior knowledge, the program will equip participants with the skills to set up, use, and manage e-wallets, helping them integrate digital financial solutions into their daily lives.
 
Day 1 focuses on understanding fintech and setting up e-wallets. Participants will learn the basics of digital finance, install e-wallet apps, and set up secure accounts.
 
Day 2 delves into practical applications of e-wallets, including making payments, transferring funds, and using them for buying and selling products. Hands-on activities and role-play scenarios will help participants gain confidence in these processes.
 
Day 3 explores advanced e-wallet features such as encashment and QR code transactions, alongside workshops on leveraging e-wallets for entrepreneurship. The program concludes with troubleshooting exercises and strategies to build long-term digital confidence.
 
This initiative not only enhances financial literacy but also fosters economic growth by enabling participants to embrace fintech solutions, ultimately creating a more inclusive and sustainable digital economy for rural communities.
 
Requirements
Participants would need to have their own handphone with data.
